Majellense Aquilegia
 

Family: Ranunculaceae
Scientific Name: Aquilegia magellensis Huter, Porta et Rigo
Description: Perennial plant with pale purple flower.
Ecology: Sciophilous species adapted to live in dim places. It can be found between 700 and 1800 meters on dripping rocks and enlargements.
Flowering: It flowers from June to July.
Interest: It is a species similar to Aquilegia ottonis of Balkan peninsula. It is an endemic species of the Majella, valued as rare on the Red List of Italian Plants, and protected by L.R. n. 45/79 of Regione Abruzzo.
Presence In the Park: It is located in small spots all over the Park territory.
