Soldanella del calcare
 

Family: Primulaceae
Scientific Name: Soldanella minina Hoppe ssp. samnitica Cristofolini & Pignatti.
Description: Small plant featured by round leaves and hanging lilac flower.
Ecology: It can be found in the dripping enlargements between 2100 and 2400 meters.
Flowering: It flowers from June to July.
Interest: It is a rare species according to the Red List of Italian Plants; punctiform endemism of Majella.
Presence In the Park: Is located in very few spots on the highest altitudes of Majella.
Curiosities: Given its punctiform distribution, it has been chosen as symbol of "Daniela Brescia" Botanic Garden in S. Eufemia a Majella; located only on Majella.
