Sant’Eufemia a Majella (Pescara)

1. Lama Bianca - Fonte della Fratta path

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Overall length of the two paths: 3 km.
Lama Bianca Path: length: 800 m.; average; time: 30’. In this path the slope is not higher than 7%, so it can be walked in both directions.
Fonte della Fratta Path: length: 2.500 m.; difficult; time: 1h.
Those two paths can be walked separately.

FEATURES
Natural features: the path runs through a dense beech wood, where beautiful flowers grow in the undergrowth. In this area some animals can be seen, that are peculiar to central Apennines: the Marsican bear, the Apennine wolf and the wild cat.
Cultural historical features: ancient charcoal pits set in clearings.
Note: near Lama Bianca spring, there is a picnic area with facilities for dasabled people (the Visitor Centre must be asked for the keys).

BUILDING MATERIALS
The fence along the path is made of chestnut, while the path itself is made of quarry grit (white limestone) mixed with tar grit. Signals for blind people are made of aluminium plates with Braille alphabet.
 

2. Grotta Zappano path

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Length: 800 m.; easy; time: 30’ to arrive and come back

Guardiagrele (Chieti)

La Valle path
This easy path (70 m.) runs along the La Valle stream. There is a protective fence.

Serramonacesca (Pescara)

Alento River path
This path runs from the Abbey of San Liberatore a Majella and follows the bed of the Alento river. It is partially accessible to visually impaired visitors or to blind people with a guide.
Length: 200 m.; average; time 10’
At present, there is no one that manages the services of the Park in this area.
