It is a burg of the Sant’Eufemia a Majella Municipality. In the 1960’s it was completely abandoned but nowadays thanks to the Park and private citizens’ intervention, who were fascinated by the spirit of this place, it comes back to life. It became one of the most important typical place of the Abruzzi mountains as well as a place in harmony between conservation and development thanks to the renovation of the houses in local stone and to the organization of social events.

Where: it is located at the foot of the Mount Morrone, near Passo San Leonardo. Starting from the valley it can be reached from Sant’Eufemia, while starting from the mounts it can be reached crossing Campo di Giove or Pacentro.

Curiosity: in the 1980’s, after a depopulation, only one inhabitant lived here. She was Angiolina Del Papa who guarded the village and the church for years.
