Paths and trail blazing in the Park

Since 2010 the Majella National Park has been starting a systematic work of reorganization and optimization of the trail network, with particular attention to the walking paths, the mountain bikes trails, equestrian trails and for the cross-country skiing.

Paths focused interventions plan a substantial action of routine maintenance (and where necessary an emergency maintenance), the blazes painting of the path and the placement of information and directional markers. The blazes painting (with paint) has been making following the Club Alpino Italiano standards (small flags and information markers), whereas wood markers have been placed in the lower and medium altitudes and metal ones along the paths of the high altitudes.

You have to remember that the paths are named with letters and numbers and the first ones show the areas in which the territory has been divided. The four thematic paths (the Park Path (P), the Spirit Path (S), the Freedom Path (L), the dry-stone hut Path (CP)), as well as the families paths (indicated only with numbers) are the exception to this rule.

The works on the Official Paths Network of the Park are in progress; we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
